James Hughes Clocks provides a full range of services for antique clocks. From cleaning and servicing, to an essential repair and conservation, to a full restoration when absolutely necessary, carried out to the highest quality by experienced craftsmen.
The majority of clocks we work on are from the period of these old photographs and before, however we are always interested to talk about any mechanical clock.
We also have a selection of fine clocks available to purchase.
We are now also operating in the Ludlow area and offering the same service we offer in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
Broad Street and Butter Cross, Ludlow (old postcard).
My great great uncle Josiah Franklin, auctioneer at Cornmarket, Wem, mid 19th century.
I was born and bred in Shropshire and as such am a proud Salopian. One always has an affinity with the county of ones birth. I can be consulted by telephone ( 01494 881 302 ) at any time and will be in Ludlow regularly.
Clunton and Clunbury,
Clungunford and Clun,
Are the quietest places
Under the sun.
In valleys of springs of rivers,
By Ony and Teme and Clun,
The country for easy livers,
The quietest under the sun.
